Here's Mount Diablo looking from
Conzelman Road on the Marin Headlands.
This was taken 2007 February 28 after a rare Bay Area-wide snowstorm that left snow on Mount Tamalpais
for the first time in thirty-one years.
Mount Diablo is the highest peak in the Bay Area, and the hike to the top
at around 1,170 metres
affords amazing views. You are well advised to hike in the early spring (no later than the end of March)
while the wild flowers are out and the temperature has not become unbearable. Carry plenty of water.
